FAQ

Valet trash questions? Let's take the lid off.

Straight answers on missed pickups, crews, insurance, reporting, pricing and switching. Residents: your answers are on the pickup rules page.

Missed pickups and the make-good

What counts as a missed pickup?

Trash set out in the service window, at the door, where the crew could reach it. Late set-outs, blocked access and items outside the service scope are not misses, and the service log shows which is which.

What happens when a pickup is missed?

Every miss is made right within 24 hours at no charge. It's collected on the next service night, and if that is more than 24 hours away, such as before a weekend or holiday break in service, the crew comes back within 24 hours.

What if the same unit is missed again?

If we miss the same unit twice in one billing month, that unit's RPMTX fee for the month is credited on your next invoice.

Is a holiday a missed pickup?

No. A night with no scheduled service isn't a miss. Residents keep trash inside until the next service night.

What if a service failure keeps happening?

The contract carries a cure clause: if a service failure isn't fixed within 30 days of your written notice, you can end the contract. That is on top of the 24-hour make-good.

How does a resident report a miss?

Online with the missed-pickup form, or by text to (512) 866-6695. The rules residents follow are on the pickup rules page.

Crews and insurance: the boring, important part

Do you subcontract?

No. Every person RPMTX puts on your property is one of our own employees: background-checked, badged, uniformed and covered by our insurance. We don't subcontract, franchise or staff routes through an agency.

What insurance do you carry?

$2M aggregate general liability, commercial auto and workers' comp on every crew member. Certificates naming your ownership entity are issued before the first service night.

Who do we call when something goes wrong?

Us, directly. You get a direct number on day one, so a problem never has to climb through a ticket queue. The main line is (512) 866-6695, Monday to Friday, 9 to 5 Central.

Reporting, or receipts for trash

What's in the report? (Spoiler: every door.)

Every door gets a status every service night: collected, no set-out, or exception. Exceptions such as loose bags, overweight containers and prohibited items are photographed, with a resident notice ready to forward. The report arrives by email, with nothing to log into. How reporting works

How many photos do you take? Enough, not a flood.

A photo of every building once it's cleared, plus every exception. About 20 photos a night on a 642-door route, not one per door: enough to settle a dispute without burying your inbox.

Does it work with our property-management software?

The report comes by email from night one. Work orders and resident-record entries are scoped at onboarding, where your platform allows it, and priced per door on top of the base rate where they apply. Nothing is promised before we've seen your setup.

Pricing and contracts, minus the decoder ring

How is valet trash priced?

One per-door rate a month. It steps down as door count rises, and nights per week and building type scale it from there. Price my property shows an illustrative range in about a minute; the final rate is set after a free property walk.

Any setup, fuel or container fees hiding in there?

No setup fee, fuel surcharge, container deposit or admin fee. Lidded containers for every unit and move-in kits for new leases are included.

How long are contracts?

12, 24 or 36 months, and we quote all three so you can weigh the rate against the commitment. Contract details

How are the other services priced?

RPMTX prices them for your property: bulk pickup per haul (sized by the load), turn-season support around your turn calendar, make-ready per unit, container washing per container, porter service from the porter hours you need, and power washing, pet waste service and URO composting support per property. They go on the same contract and the same invoice.

Switching vendors without the drama

We're mid-contract. When could we start?

Send us the agreement and we'll read the notice terms with you, free. If you can't leave early, we time the changeover for the day it ends, so there's no gap in service. Get a free contract check

How does the switch work?

A property walk and route design first. We write the resident notice, and you post it seven days before. Containers change over in one day. In week one we ride every route and call you each morning, and your report starts on night one.

What changes for our residents?

Very little: container out before the service window opens, back in the next morning, trash bagged inside. The rules are on our resident page for your office to share.
