Cedar Park is not Austin, and your quote should show it
Austin's Universal Recycling Ordinance is City of Austin code. Austin multifamily properties with 5+ units have recycling and composting requirements under it, and compost pickup is at least weekly. A community inside Cedar Park city limits falls under Cedar Park's code instead, so we do not build Austin's composting obligations into a Cedar Park price.
Outside Austin, requirements vary by city, and we quote each community on its location, its existing waste contract and what it needs collected. In Cedar Park, these are the parts of the city's rules that shape an apartment waste program.
- The city's trash and recycling pages cover house service: Republic Services carts, weekly trash and recycling every other week, $21.42 a month. They do not describe apartment service.
- Commercial and multifamily hauling runs on city solid waste franchises. The City Manager can grant non-exclusive franchises, and City Council can grant exclusive ones (Code § 18.10.001).
- The city can move multifamily, commercial or industrial zones to municipal or exclusive service on 60 days' notice (§ 18.10.003(c)(3)).

We work alongside your hauler, not instead of it
Valet trash is the leg from the resident's door to your compactor. Emptying the compactor stays with the hauler you already contract with, and nothing about that agreement has to change for doorstep service to start. In Cedar Park that matters: the city can change how multifamily hauling is assigned, and doorstep service does not depend on which hauler empties the compactor.
The compactor area is part of our route. Every service, the crew clears the pad, bags strays, and photographs and reports any overflow. That is included in the per-door rate, not an add-on.
Your schedule is part of the quote
Service runs one to seven times a week, and the contract matches the community. For a Cedar Park property, the schedule and service window are set when we quote that specific property, together with its location and waste contract. They do not get copied over from an Austin template.
What every Cedar Park community gets
RPMTX is Austin owned and operated since 2012. A Cedar Park community gets the same standards and contract terms listed here.
- Our own employees, never subcontractors. They are background-checked, badged and insured by us. We do not subcontract, franchise or staff routes through an agency.
- Every door is logged as collected, no set-out, or exception. Exceptions are photographed and timestamped, and the report goes by email to whoever you list, with resident notices written and ready to forward.
- 24-hour make-good: every miss is made right within 24 hours at no charge. It is collected on the next service, and if that is more than 24 hours away (a weekend or holiday break), the crew comes back within 24 hours. If we miss the same unit twice in one billing month, that unit's RPMTX fee for the month is credited on your next invoice. A miss is trash set out in the service window, at the door, where the crew could reach it. The service log decides.
- Doorstep recycling as an add-on on the same route: single-stream, collected at the door, with contamination tagging, on the same contract and invoice.
- Lidded containers for every unit, replaced as they wear. No setup fee, no fuel surcharge, no container deposit, no admin fee.
- Contract terms of 12, 24 or 36 months. We quote all three.
- $2M aggregate general liability, commercial auto and workers' compensation. Certificates naming your ownership entity are issued before the first service.
What it costs
The calculator on our pricing page gives an illustrative RPMTX rate of roughly $11 to $16 per door per month at its baseline of five services a week, garden-style. The rate steps down as door count rises, comes down a little at four services a week and scales up for six or seven. At one to three a week a route minimum applies, so RPMTX prices it. It is an estimate, not a rate card. Your actual rate is set after a free property walk, where route length, floors and access all count, and the walk sets a floor that covers the route.
Communities typically bill residents $25 to $35 a door for the amenity. That is a published industry figure, not an RPMTX result. Put your own door count and fee into the calculator to see the spread.
- Under 150 doors: about $14 to $16 per door (illustrative, five a week, garden-style)
- 150 to 500 doors: about $12 to $14 per door (illustrative, five a week, garden-style)
- Over 500 doors: about $11 to $13 per door (illustrative, five a week, garden-style)
